The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will be installing signs on Sept. 7, 2018 to extend the 45 mph zone through Barbourville. The current 45 mph speed zone begins on the south end of town and ends near the Tobacco Hut store. The new zone will continue from the Tobacco Hut store and extend north past South 11 and Knox Street. The zone will end just after T&L Pawn.
