Mrs. Yvonne Alice Berlinger, 68, of Madison Heights, Michigan passed away on October 31, 2024 at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Warren, Michigan. She was born on July 9, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Robert and Opal Hobbs.
Dear mother of Brantly James Berlinger and Sean Michael Berlinger. Also a mother of her dogs, or “furry babies”, Dixie and Lucy who have passed away. Cherished grandmother of Caleb, Aiden, Isaac, Ariella, and her grandcat Sassy.
Her Ex-Husband, James Thomas Berlinger who passed away in June 2017. Yvonne is predeceased by her brother, Harold Gene Hobbs and is survived by her brother, James Michael Hobbs. Aunt of Randy, Jeremy, and Jason. Great aunt of Mackenzie, Mason, Nora, Dylan, Meadow, and Ayden.
Yvonne graduated from Centerline High School. She had a long passionate career in dog grooming and held the knowledge long past her retirement. Yvonne loved doing crosswords and coloring in her free time along with watching her Soap Operas and following Survivor from the very first episode.
Yvonne loved her boys so much. She would take them to cider mills and yearly trips to Kentucky. Sean continued the traditions of making the yearly trips, but started new ones as well by adding beach trips. She especially loved Stoney, as it was her favorite. She enjoyed trying Brantly’s recipes he would create and sometimes put twists on familiar ones, but she loved his BBQ most of all.
Yvonne loved her grandchildren so much. Yvonne loved sharing her many stories (which see had plenty to give) with her grandkids and enjoyed listening to their stories. She watched Master Chef Jr. and Kitchen Nightmares, to be honest anything with Gordon Ramsey, with her grands.
“Momma was upbeat, nothing could keep her down long. She might not have gotten along with everyone but she would talk with you and swap stories. Kentucky is Mom’s home, she always said it’s our family history.”
