Wilma Jean Brown Sizemore, age 76 of Flat Lick, was born in Knox County, KY on May 16, 1945 to the late Bowman and Amanda Hobbs Brown and departed this life on Friday, August 27, 2021 at her home. She was a member of Road Fork Holiness Church and enjoyed sewing, canning, quilting, gardening, going to Church and serving her Sweet Jesus, and time with family and friends.
In addition to her parents, a daughter: Juanita Sizemore; a son: Tommy Sizemore; 4 infant brothers: and 2 sisters: Florence Brown and Celia Baker preceded her in death.
Wilma is survived by her loving children: Lavonda Mills and husband Jeffrey of Scalf, Chester “Bud” Sizemore, Jerry Sizemore, and Josh Gambrel all of Barbourville; 4 brothers: Everett Brown of Bimble, Charlie Brown and David Brown and wife Sherry all of Barbourville, and L. B. Brown and wife Brenda of Frankfort; 4 sisters: Betsy Smith and husband Bill of London, Lillie Mae Brown of North Dakota, Maxine Brown of Barbourville, and Carolyn Simpson and husband David of Frankfort; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and 1 more on the way; special friends: Jerry and Bobby Valentine, and Virginia Philpot; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Shawn Fugate and his staff, and all the Aids from Professional Home Health for helping care for Wilma.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilma Sizemore will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Gilbert Collins, Rev. Stoney Brown and Rev. Chester “Bud” Sizemore officiating. Burial will follow in the Browns Branch Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Monday Evening from 6 to 9 P.M., Tuesday from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. to the funeral hour at 2.
