Barbourville, Ky. – Willie May, 76, of Girdler, passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021. Left behind to mourn his passing are eight beloved children; Benjamin May, Steven May, Brain May, Jerry May, Stacey May (Kristy), Rodney May (Tara), Dean May (Tina), and Joann Smith; two sisters, Sarah Buchanan (Jeff), and Rosie Eversole (Frank), and three brothers; Charles May (Phyllis), Earnest May, and Harrison May (Angie). Ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins, that Willie loved dearly, will miss him greatly.
In addition to his parents, Laura May and General May, Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Ima Jean May; daughter, Tammy May, and seven siblings; brothers, Junior May, Vernon May, and T.J. May, and sisters, Rella Horton, Irene Davidson, Cathy Wagers, and Barbara Ann May.
Visitation for Mr. May will be at the Hopper Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM. Pastor Bobby Mills is the officiant. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily, Kentucky.
