Willie Lee McDaries, II, age 82 of Trosper was born in Bell County, KY on July 1, 1942 to the late Willie Lee McDaries and Eulla Mae Ballard McDaries and departed this life on January 12, 2025 at his home. He was of the Baptist Faith and a US Army veteran. He enjoyed coon hunting, working on cars and lawnmowers, mowing the yard, cleaning his truck, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents: Willie and Eulla McDaries; 5 sisters: Sue Stamper, Helen Ruth Wilson, Mary Jo Alford, Maggie Marcee, and Judy Douglas; a stepson: Frank Hamilton; and a son-in-law: Kevin Doolin preceded him in death.
Willie is survived by his loving wife of over 16 years: Frances McDaries of Trosper; his son: Willie Lee McDaries, III and wife Della of Barbourville; 3 daughters: Liz McDaries, and Kathy Doolin both of Heidrick, and Debra Powers and husband Todd of Flat Lick; a sister: Lena Jane McDaries; 9 grandchildren; 4 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Willie McDaries, II will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Lonnie Maiden, Rev. Jimmy Miller, and Rev. Roy Stamper officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamilton Cemetery in Trosper with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Military Honors will be performed at the Cemetery.
