Mr. Willie J. Langdon, age 91 of London was born in Manchester, KY on May 16, 1928 to the late Westlow and Lillie Wooten Langdon and departed this life on Sunday, November 10, 2019 in the Baptist Health of Corbin. He was a member of Lick Lighter Church of God in Jesus Name, a Veteran of the US Army serving in Korea, and enjoyed Coon Hunting, was a hard worker, loved meeting people, collecting guns and knives, eating good home cooking and was a good neighbor.
In addition to his parents: Westlow and Lillie Langdon; his wife: June Smith Langdon; a brother: Alfred Langdon; a daughter-in-law: Sonya Langdon; and 2 brothers-in-law: Carl Smith and Floyd Wagers preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving son: William Dale Langdon of London; 2 sisters: Mary Wagers of Dayton, OH and Tennie Smith of Fairfield, OH; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. Willie Langdon will be conducted in the Lick Lighter Church of God in Jesus Name on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Lick Lighter Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Military Honors will be conducted by the London DAV Chapter 158 at Graveside. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Lick Lighter Church of God in Jesus Name on Thursday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2.
