William “Yogi” Hendrickson, age 72 of Gray, KY was born in Harlan, KY on June 26, 1948 to the late Walter and Eastlenen Stapleton Hendrickson and departed this life on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at his home. He was a member of Keck Baptist Church and enjoyed working on the farm, helping other people, telling jokes, playing Basketball, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, 2 brothers: Mitchell Hendrickson and James Hendrickson; and his mother-in-law: Louise Phipps preceded him in death.
He is survived by his loving wife Joann Hendrickson of Gray; a son: Joe William Hendrickson of Gray; a daughter: Melissa Griffieth and husband Bobby of Evansville, IN; a brother: J C Hendrickson of Gray; 3 sisters: Jean; Miracle of Tazwell, TN, and Norma Robertson and husband John, and Julia May Wagoner all of Burlington, KY; 1 granddaughter: Kimberly Carter; special great nephew: Draven Dean; other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. William “Yogi” Hendrickson will be conducted in the Keck Baptist Church on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Darrell Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Hendrickson Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Wednesday Evening from 6 to 9 P.M. and Thursday at Keck Baptist Church from 11:00 A.M. to the funeral hour at 2. Due to the continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, the family has requested all visitors wear face mask and practice Social Distancing.
