Obituary for William Thomas “Tommy” Grubb (1928-2022)

Mr. William Thomas “Tommy” Grubb, 93, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday evening, January 29, 2022 at the Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation Center.  He was the son of the late George and Ida Partin Grubb born on September 28, 1928 at Coalport.

Tommy was former CTA Manufacturing employee, owner and operator of the Moo Moo Hut and a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church.  He was also a member of the Melrose Lodge #0671 F & AM in Norwood, OH, the Oleika Shrine Temple and faithfully served his country in the United States Army.

On September 22, 2006, he united in marriage with Martha Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Ronnie Grubb and several siblings.

Survivors include his loving wife, Martha Grubb of Barbourville; six children, Phyllis Grubb of Abilene, TX, Stacy Cupp and husband, Berry, of and Samantha Coury all of Louisville; Denny Brown and wife, Patsy, of Cannon, Kathy Smith of London and Debbie Brown of Hinkle; a sister, Winnie of Ohio; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, February 4 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Josh Smith and Rev. James Vandy officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday between 6 and 8 P.M. with a Masonic service at 7:30 P.M.
