Mr. William G. Kagin, Jr. age 88 of Barbourville, KY departed this life on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at his home. He was the son of William G. Kagin, Sr. and Margaret (Bradshaw) Kagin born to them on March 15, 1933 in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. In March 1971, he united in marriage with Dianne Collett and to this union three children were born. Mr. Kagin retired from advertising sales and had worked for Walt Peabody Advertising in Florida for several years. He was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church. He loved reading his Bible, hunting, fishing, flying his planes and spending time with his family. He was also a sports enthusiast and was an avid UK fan.
His parents, William and Margaret Kagin and one grandchild, Buddy Kagin, precede him in death.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his loving wife of fifty years, Dianne Kagin of Barbourville, two sons, Billy Kagin, III and wife Beth of Winchester and Bradley Kagin and wife April of Corbin, his devoted daughter, Sabrina Hensley and husband Gary of Barbourville, nine beloved grandchildren, Ashley Fugate and husband Shawn, Cassie Frazier and husband Cole all of Pineville, Matthew Warren of Barbourville, James Paul Hensley of Manchester, Bryson Kagin and Brodie Kagin of Corbin, Tiffany Kagin Banks, Tommy Kagin and Valeen Kagin all of Winchester, three great grandchildren, Nicholas Brody Fugate, Alyssa Rae Fugate and Jay Bradlee Frazier, one sister, Peggy Rucker and husband Rev. James Rucker of Cynthiana.
A memorial service for Mr. Kagin will be held on Tuesday, Janaury 18, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Vaughn officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.
