William Dean “Peanut” Mitchell age 53 of Corbin was born in Barbourville, KY on July 27, 1968 to the late William McKinnley Mitchell and Lois Ruth Lowe Roaden and departed this life on Friday, December 3, 2021 in the Baptist Health of Corbin. He was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed working on cars, writing his name on everything, and spending time with family and friends, especially the Kids.
In addition to his father: William McKinnley Mitchell; his stepfather: Marion John Roaden preceded him in death.
Peanut is survived by his loving mother: Lois Ruth Roaden of Corbin; his first wife and soul mate: Velvet Mitchell of Corbin; loving children: Curtis Blankenship and wife Heather of London, Rickie Lee Blankenship, Billie Dianne Mitchell, and Will McKinnley Mitchell all of Corbin; a brother: Marion David Roaden of Corbin;
4 sisters: Lisa Diane Smith and husband Kenny Ray, Sheila Irene and William Faulkner, and Vicky Yvonne Moore and husband Billy all of Corbin, and Tammy Renee Roaden of Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. William “Peanut” Mitchell will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kenny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Wednesday Evening from 6 to 9 PM and Thursday from 10:00 AM to the funeral hour at 1.
