Mr. William Crit Prince, 76, of Barbourville, passed away Friday morning, February 12, 2021 at his home. He was the son of the late John and Rebecca Newman Prince born on May 12, 1944 in Barbourville.
Crit was a retired maintenance employee with Tru-Seal and a member of the Roadside Baptist Church. He enjoyed many things including fox hunting, dirt racing, fishing, attending church, watching Union College basketball games, working in his yard, gardening, watching cooking shows and westerns and dearly loved spending time with his family.
On June 6, 1966, he united in marriage with Marjorie Sandra Click and to this union two children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Centers and Ruby Johnson and his mother-in-law, Eula Mae Click.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Marjorie Prince of Barbourville; two children, Terry Lee Prince and wife, Rose Rebecca, and Michelle Renee Smith all of Barbourville; a sister, Marie Lambright of Goshen, IN; a brother, Jack Prince of Cincinnati, OH; a sister-in-law, Eunice Pauline Rice of Knoxville, TN; six grandchildren, Amanda Prince, Seth and Savannah Smith, Becca Teague and husband, Adam, Mary House and husband, Josh, and Connie Owens and fiancé, Josh Bays; a great grandson, Henry James Jones; several nieces and nephews including Brenda Johnson and Terry Centers; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, February 17 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Ronnie Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Seth Smith, Jason Brown, J. D. Brown, Jordan Brown, David Jackson and Adam Teague. Serving as an honorary bearer will be Jimmy Newman.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Wednesday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
