Mr. William “Bill” Eversole, Sr., age 81 of Barbourville was born in Clay County, KY on April 8, 1943 to the late George and Rosa Davidson Eversole and departed this life on August 22, 2024 at his home. He was a member of the Old Ark House of Prayer and enjoyed playing music, being outside, living life, mowing the yard, tinkering, helping people, and time with family and friends. For years he and his brothers performed in the Gospel Group known as the Soul Seekers.
In addition to his parents: George and Rosa Eversole; his wife: Veda Eversole; 4 brothers: Frank Eversole, Charles Eversole, Billy Ray Eversole, and Bobby Eversole; and 5 sisters: Kathlene Smith, Laura Abrams, Clydia Marie Couch, Irene Kelly, and Ethel Farris preceded him in death.
Bill is survived by his loving children: Lisa Barnes and husband Aaron and William Eversole, Jr. and wife Sarah all of Barbourville; 4 sisters-in-laws: Mary Eversole and Gracie Eversole both of Barbourville, Rosa Eversole of Cassopolis, MI, and Maryetta Eversole of Gooserock, KY; 5 grandchildren: Hunter Barnes, Issac Barnes, Trager Eversole, Skyler Eversole, and Ariella “Dandy” Eversole; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services for Mr. William “Bill” Eversole, Sr. will be conducted in the Old Ark House of Prayer on Monday, August 26, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roy Eversole and Rev. Charles Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Eversole Cemetery with Family and Friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Old Ark House of Prayer on Sunday Evening from 6 to 9 PM, and Monday from 10 AM to the funeral hour at 2.
