Obituary for Willard “Will” F. Morris (1933-2025)

Mr. Willard “Will” F. Morris, 91, of Danville, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1933 at Bimble, the son of the late Luther and Edna Morris.

Upon graduation from high school in Barbourville, KY, Will served in the US Air Force in the Military Police, with stations in French Morrocco and Germany. After completing his 4 years of military service, Will attended Union College, continuing at Eastern Kentucky University, graduating with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in accounting.

It is at Eastern Kentucky University, that Will met his future wife, Ann. Will’s first accounting job took him and his newly-wed wife, Ann, to CA. Future career moves led them to AK, OH and OR, retiring in KY.

Will is pre-deceased by his wife, Ann Rogers Morris, and daughter, Susan Morris.

He is survived by a daughter, Robyn Morris of Belvedere, IL. He also leaves behind many
friends, especially the many local restaurant owners and servers where he dined.

Will enjoyed camping and travels in his younger days and liked to work in the yard. He
was a wood worker with many projects adorning his home. Will enjoyed conversation
with friends and neighbors, and telling (and retelling) a good joke. He often won bets on
estimating his age, due to his youthful appearance. When asked how he was doing,
Will’s standard reply was “peach dandy”. He was a wonderful neighbor and friend to all.

He will be missed.

All services will be private with interment in Barbourville.

Local arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
