Weston James Medlin, the three month old son of Anthony John Tre and Kelli Rochelle Mills Medlin, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. He was born on November 28, 2023 in Lexington.
He loved to be rocked, rest in his Boppy pillow, blow bubbles, dance, watch Moana and Bluey with Mommy and give Daddy silly faces, which brought great joy to them.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mark Medlin, Rondell Mills, Christine Patterson, Launa Hale and Nabe Mills and great grandmother, Margaret Jones.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, Bridget King of Flat Lick, Shannon Miller of Barbourville and Debbie Medlin of Girdler; great grandparents, Judy and Joe Woolum of Barbourville, Darlene and Houston Miller of Heidrick, Bill Jones of Girdler and Rev. Claude and Opal Medlin of Gray; great-great grandparents, Doris Mills of Gray and Nelson Hale of Barbourville; an aunt, Cassaidy and Philip Hendrickson of Corbin; uncles, Dakota and Kayla Hembree of Bimble, Devin Miller of Barbourville, Dusty King of Flat Lick, Damian Miller of Barbourville and Kolton King of Flat Lick; cousins, Storianna Hendrickson, Remington and Waylon Hembree; nana, Savannah Hubbard; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, March 30 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Tom Patterson and Rev. Stevie Hughes officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Johnson Cemetery at Gray.
Casket bearers will be Danny Hubbard, Shaun Spradlin, Dawson Medlin and Philip Hendrickson. Serving as honorary bearers will be Dakota Hembree, Devin Miller, Dusty King, Damian Miller and Kolton King.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Saturday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
