Ms. Wendy Messer Hubbs, 46, of Corbin, passed away Friday evening, January 17, 2025 at Baptist Health Lexington. She was the daughter of Lonnie and Tammy Jean Epperson Messer born on December 2, 1978 in Barbourville.
Wendy was a homemaker and attended the North Main Community Church. She was known to have a big and forgiving heart, loved her family and especially spending time with and chauffeuring her girls. She also enjoyed getting made up and dressed up. Wendy loved her pets, “Goose” and “Sis”.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tub and Jean Abner and Coon and Vaslean Messer; a brother, Mearl Abner and uncles, Roy Messer and Coon Messer Jr.
Survivors include her partner, Ricky Lee Hubbs of Corbin; children, Emily Hubbs and Kimberly Hubbs both of Corbin and a bonus daughter, Makayla Tate of Barbourville; a sister, Alonda Messer of Corbin; brothers, Brent Messer and Robert Hamilton both of Corbin; bonus grandchildren, Zayne Harrison and Zayla Tate; aunts, Virginia Hopkins, Dessie Messer and Dorthy Stewart; an uncle, Ronnie Messer; nieces, Amelia Vaslean Messer and Tasha Abner; a nephew, Dustin Abner; special cousins, Billy Messer, John Hopkins, Ronnie Messer Jr., Charlene Stewart, Rhonda Messer and Patty Messer; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, January 26 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Scott Phipps officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Billy Messer, John Hopkins, John Hopkins Jr., Bobby Brock, Michael Barnhill and Michael Jackson.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Saturday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Sunday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
