Obituary for Wanda Lee Brown Collins (1945-2021)

Wanda Lee Brown Collins, age 75 of Flat Lick, was born in Knox County, KY on April 17, 1945 to the late Henry and Carrie Hobbs Brown and departed this life on April 6, 2021 at her home.  She was a member of Road Fork House of Prayer and enjoyed shopping, Cooking, Going to Church, reading the Bible, Gardening and time with family and friends, especially the grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, her husband: Curtis Collins; 2 sons: Jamie Collins and Tommy Collins; a brother: John Henry Brown; and a great granddaughter: Aubree Collins preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving children: Carrie Collins, Shanna Tate and husband Ron, Rev. Gilbert Collins and wife Sherry, Curtis Collins, Jr. and wife Melinda, Darrell Collins, and Calvin Collins and wife Misty all of Flat Lick, KY; 2 sisters: Roxie Bennett and husband Harry and Quillie Black all of Flat Lick, KY; 2 brothers: Glenn Brown of Scalf and Rev. Stoney Brown of Dewitt; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Wanda Collins will be conducted in the Road Fork House of Prayer on Sunday, April 11, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Gilbert Collins, Rev. Steven Brown, and Rev. Josh Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in the Collins Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers.  Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Friday from 6 to 9 P.M., Saturday from 10 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Sunday at the Road Fork House of Prayer from 11:00 A.M. to the funeral hour at 2.  Due to the continuing Covid- 19 Pandemic, and new regulations from our Governor on gatherings all who attend all who attend will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
