Obituary for Virginia LeMaster (1919-2021)

Virginia LeMaster died 1-1-2021, in her home, in London, Kentucky.

She was the daughter of Gordon O. and Grace (Owens) Asbury. They preceded her in death, along with her loving husband of 72 years, Rev. E. Edwin LeMaster, her sisters: Sally Gordon Hancock, Marie Owens McDonald, Jean Bryar Johnson, and her brother, James Powell Asbury.

Survivors include her daughter Kathryn Jean Collins and husband Sid of London, Kentucky and son David LeMaster of Somerset, Kentucky, granddaughters Helena Perry and husband, Mike and children, Michaela and Sidney; and Heather Murphy and husband, Jamie, and children, Tyler, Andrew, and Emily; great great nephews, James and Joseph Asbury, great niece, Beverly Asbury Gibson (Jeff) of Brandon, Missouri; nieces: Virginia Wallingford (Russ) of Maysville, Kentucky., Joan Oliver (David) of St. Peters, Missouri, and Sharon Wells (Rick) of Franklin, Tennessee, along with great, great nieces and nephews, and a host of many friends.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church of London, Kentucky, a Missionary to Angola, Africa from 1952-1961, and a Registered Nurse.

Funeral services for Virginia O. (Asbury) LeMaster will be conducted Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in London Funeral Home Chapel with Sean Ryan and Billie Ridings officiating.

Burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family of Virginia O. (Asbury) LeMaster will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
