Ms. Virginia Baker, 66, of Barbourville, passed away Saturday evening, December 19, 2020 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the daughter of the late C. B. Cox and Dorothy Alford born on January 29, 1954.
Virginia was a former cook at Union College and of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed watching television, movies, spending time on the computer and her sweet treats. In earlier years, she enjoyed walking for pleasure.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Vanover; three sisters, Emma Rice, Teresa Matthews and Doris B. Short and a brother, Luther Matthews.
Survivors include two children, Kimberly Brown of Barbourville and April Collins of Boone Height; two sisters, Wanda Matthews of Covington and Nancy Gray of Texas; six grandchildren, Jonathan Wagers and girlfriend, Danielle, Johnny Vanover, Isaac Vanover, Lora Davis, Beth Gray and Derek Hatfield; former husband, Bobby Frazier; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, December 28 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Glenn Collins officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
