Barbourville, Ky. – Victor Allen Bingham III, 57, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family, October 15, 2020. Victor was the son of Victor Bingham, Jr. and Shirley Couch Bingham, joyfully born to them on October 11, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio.
Victor spent much of his youth in the Gray Community of Knox County. He will forever be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. Victor was a Baptist and his faith in God guided him throughout his life. Victor was curious, intelligent, and a passionate scholar. He especially loved to read and further his knowledge of History and Business. Victor graduated from Union College with a pre-Law Degree. He attended graduate school at Vanderbilt University and the University of Kentucky where he studied Business and obtained his MBA. Upon completion of his studies, Victor, always ambitious, became a successful entrepreneur, maintaining interests and investments in various businesses in Kentucky and Tennessee. Those who knew him well described him as fascinating and felt certain his entrepreneurial spirit was in his “DNA”.
In additional to his studies and business ventures, Victor loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Being the only son in his sibling group of four, Victor was known to enjoy pulling a prank from time to time on his sisters’. He was also known as a great role model to the children in his extended family, especially his great nieces and great nephews. In his spare time, Victor raised cattle on the farm he called home. He took pride and great care in his cattle – his cattle were like “big pets” to him. A second favorite hobby of Victor’s was his love of vintage cars, his favorite car being the Corvette, which he collected.
