Mrs. Venna Jean Martin, 81, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday evening, November 10, 2022 at St. Joseph London. She was the daughter of the late James W. and Celia Callebs Jackson born on October 13, 1941 in Knox County.
Venna was a long-time employee of American Fidelity Bank and homemaker, a member of the Northside Baptist Church and attended the Barbourville Church of God. She enjoyed shopping and buying and selling antiques.
On March 17, 1962, she united in marriage with G. W. Martin in Barbourville and to this union a daughter was born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Jackson.
Survivors include her dearly loved daughter, Kim Martin of Barbourville; a sister, Mildred Engle of Barbourville; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A graveside service will be conducted in the Barbourville Cemetery Thursday, November 17 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the cemetery Thursday prior to the service time.
