Terry Asher, age 57, left this world for her heavenly home on Saturday morning, May 25, 2024. Terry was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Terry is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Asher, four children: Evelyn Asher, Londa (Jeremy) Westerfield, Jake (Kristin) Asher, and Maxine (Mikey) Woods. Fifteen grandchildren: Jayden, Chloe, Moriah, Hailey, Desirae, Dalton, Ethan, Tyler, Trevor, Trenton, Taylor, Tayden, Madison, Anthony, and Laura. Three great-grandchildren: Dallas, Waylon, and Eliza, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was a dedicated and caring mother, always putting her family first and providing unwavering love and support to every one of them.
In addition to her immediate family, Terry is also survived by her mother Evelyn Jordan and six brothers and sisters: Wanda Wells, Paula Jordan, Eric Vaughn, Nancy Asher, Sandra Smith, and Larry Vaughn, with whom she shared a special bond of love and camaraderie. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She cherished her family above all else and always found joy in spending time with her loved ones, creating lasting memories that will be cherished forever.
She is preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Asher, her brother, Paul Vaughn, and her father, James Vaughn.
Terry’s faith was a guiding light in her life, and she lived each day with kindness, compassion, and a deep sense of love for others. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Terry’s life will be held in her honor on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 12:00 noon at the Hampton Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Lonnie Collett officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Asher Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Westerfield, Dalton Allen, Earnie Asher, Jake Asher, Earnie Jake Asher, Charlie Vaughn, Taylor Mounts and Ethan Allen. Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 noon.
