Roark, Sylvia “Troy”, age of 89, born in Simms Fork, KY, passed away peacefully in her home in Taylor, MI. She was a lifelong resident of Detroit, MI. Beloved wife of her late husband, Homer Roark of 47 years.
Loving mother of late Laymon (Karen), Lonnie (Barb), Sandra (Sam), Karen (Henry), Linda (Jerry), and Homer (Tricia). Loving grandmother of Lance (Jodi), Joseph, Jim (Nicole), Steve (Aimee), Kari (Rich), and Gillian. Loving G.G. of Alex, Avery, Drew, Cecelia, Dylan, Addison, Richard, and Laine. Loving sister of brother, John (Sallie) and was sadly preceded in death by her brothers Bill, Bob, and Jimmie. Loving sister of Chelsea (Lark) and was sadly preceded in death by her sisters Myrtle, Tressie, and Geraldine. Lastly, she was loved by many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her friends and family. She was also a casino lover and enjoyed working in her yard in her meantime.
The visitation will take place on Friday, 5/13/2022, from 1:00-8:00 pm & Saturday, 5/14/2022, from 9:00 – 10: 30 am at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes, 10915 Allen Rd., Allen Park, MI 48195. The service will take place on Saturday, 5/14/2022, at 10:30 am at the Allen Park Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes.
