Mr. Steven Del Mills, 50, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday evening, October 15, 2020 at his home. He was the son of the late Joan Hibbard Mills born on April 2, 1970.
Steven was the director of operations for Burger King and a member of the Barbourville Church of God. He enjoyed spoiling his wife, spending time with family and friends, singing, watching UK basketball, mowing his lawn and buying televisions.
On September 16, 2002, he united in marriage with Maria Reid in Clay County.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lida Hibbard; an uncle, David Mitchell and a cousin, Jeffery McDonald.
Survivors include his loving wife, Maria Reid Mills of Barbourville; a son, Robert Craft and wife, Kim, of Keavy; two sisters, Kim Jones and husband, Mike, of Corbin and Michelle Royal and husband, Bobby, of Barbourville; three brothers, Tim Mays and wife, Linda, of Richmond, Barry Mays and wife, Leann, of London and Michael Mitchell and wife, Charlotte, of Barbourville; four grandchildren, Cloey, Emma, Ephram and Adalyn; aunts and uncles, Geneva and Harold McDonald of DeLand, FL, Brenda and Shelby Mays of Williamsburg, Martha Mitchell, Judy and Don Marsh and Chelsey and Frank Kelly all of Barbourville; the Burger King family, his church family; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, October 19 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Sylvester Dunn officiating.
He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Wendell Smith, Barry Mays, Donnie Hudson, Michael Mitchell, Sonny Robbins, Allan Teague and Marcus Overbay. Honorary bearers will be employees of Burger King and General Dynamics and his church family.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday between 6 and 8 P.M. and Monday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
