Sonya Faye Mills, age 51 of Barbourville was born in Knox County, KY on July 5, 1972 to Jerry Lee Mills and Linda Faye Myers Mills and departed this life on April 18, 2024 in the Baptist Health of Louisville Hospital. She was of the Pentecostal Faith and enjoyed going to the Flea Market, shopping, working in the flower garden, caring for her cats, and time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Fred and Flossie Myers, and Claude Mills and Eva Bingham.
She is survived by her loving parents: Jerry Mills and Linda Faye Mills of Barbourville; a daughter: Kacie Comley of Richmond; 2 sisters: Mary Mills-Grubb and husband Donald of Barbourville, and Rhonda Perry and husband Brad of Corbin; special nephew: Xander Mills of Barbourville; other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral Service for Ms. Sonya Mills will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, April 21. 2024 at 2:30 PM with Rev. Finn Laws and Rev. Mike Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Bingham Town Cemetery with Donald Comley, Brad Perry, Jason McGuire, Donnie Grubb, Eric Westscoutt, and Joe Hoskins serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Sunday from 12 Noon to the funeral hour at 2:30.
