Mrs. Shirley Ann (Sizemore) Grubb age 59 of Gray, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at her home. She was the wife of Rev. J.C. Grubb and the daughter of Virgil and Valamarie Sizemore born to them on February 19, 1963 in Dayton, Ohio.
Shirley was a member of Church of Salvation House of Prayer. She was a devoted wife and mother. Traveling was what Shirley enjoyed most besides being with her grandchildren and family. She loved to sing and was always willing to help others.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Virgil and Valmarie Sizemore, one infant son, one granddaughter, Isabella Faith West and her father in law, Vernon Grubb.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her loving husband J.C. Grubb of Gray, her children, Katherine Grubb and husband Terry West of Gray and Vernon J. Grubb and fiance’ Tasha Smith of Cynthiana, Kentucky, two grandchildren, Mackenzie West and Callum West. two sisters, Imogene James and husband Ronnie of Bimble and Diane Mills and husband Otis of Gray, one brother, Virgil Sizemore, Jr. of North Carolina. She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Ann Grubb will be conducted on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Conger officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Grubb Family Cemetery at Gray. Pallbearers will be, Terry West, John Stewart, Nevel Grubb, David Smith, Doyle Grubb, Brent Hensley, Chad Simmons, C.D. Sanders and David Carnes. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
