Mrs. Sharon “Mag” Smith, 64, of Bimble, passed away Wednesday morning, October 14, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Henson and Beulah Asher Grubb born on March 16, 1956 in Knox County.
Mag was a homemaker, a former Parkway Pharmacy employee and a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, having a good meal at the Olive Garden and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and other family members.
On April 4, 1972, she united in marriage with Tip Smith and to this union four children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Ann Smith; two sisters, Agnes Cook and Sandra Cobb and a brother, Curt Grubb.
Survivors include her loving husband, Rev. Tip Smith of Bimble; her beloved children, Tiffany Smith and fiancé, Mike Wilson of Girdler, Marcus Smith and wife, Jessica, of Barbourville, Tyra Burnette and husband, Billy, of Hinkle and a bonus son, Michael Barnes and wife, Hollie, of Dalton, GA; three sisters, Carolyn Bunch and husband, Randy, of Dearborn, MI, Wanda Messer and husband, Tony, of Barbourville and Alisha McWilliams of Girdler; three brothers, Jerry Grubb and wife, Darlene, of Girdler, Bo Grubb and wife, Anita, of Bimble and Don Grubb and wife, Jeneen, of Barbourville; six grandchildren, Candace Willis and husband, Michael, Kyle Hammons and fiancé, Michaela Miller, Gavin Smith, Nadia Smith, Cage Mills and Keyra Johnson; four great grandchildren, Cadience Warren, Emersyn, Rhyan Claire and Everli Willis; special nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, October 18 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Mickie Smith and Rev. Eli Broughton officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Gambrel Cemetery at Spruce Pine.
Casket bearers will be Kyle Hammons, Gavin Smith, Cage Mills, Caanan Lockhart, Hank Lockhart, Shawn Brock, Michael Barnes and Billy Burnette.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Sunday prior to the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
