Shannon Mills, 47, of Girdler, passed away Sunday afternoon, December 4, 2022 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. She was the daughter of Trent Smith and Debbie Messer born on November 5, 1975 in Pineville.
Shannon was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and a former Pharmacy Technician. She never missed a shopping trip and enjoyed four wheeling, listening to music and dancing. Above all, she loved to spend time with her friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Alford and Naomi Smith and Waymond and Anna Messer and an aunt, Evelyn Brown.
Survivors include her cherished daughters, Whitney Abuzour and husband, Zak, of Barbourville and Kourtland Mills and fiancé, Bryan Brown, of Girdler; her loving parents, Trent Smith and Debbie Messer of Barbourville; aunts, Teeta Smith of Girdler, Peggy Smith and husband, Terry, of Michigan and Patricia Watts and husband, Sam, of Artemus; uncles, Robbie Messer and wife, Betty, of Girdler and Dickie Messer and wife, Mitzi, of Walker; special friends, Brenda Johnson, Norma Messer and Misty Mills; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Sunday, December 11 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Donnie Mills officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Smith Family Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
