Mr. Scott Lee Smith Sr., 52, of Himyar, passed away Tuesday morning, August 17, 2021 at his home. He was the son of Brenda Broyles Smith and the late Larry Roger Smith Sr. born on May 12, 1969 in Akron, OH.
Scott was a self-employed auto body technician and a member of the Gray Baptist Church. He enjoyed four-wheeling and riding his motorcycle.
On September 28, 2002, he united in marriage with Tammy Regina Ortenzi.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy Regina Smith of Flat Lick; his mother, Brenda Ann Smith of Himyar; five children, Scotty Lee Smith Jr. and wife, Whitney, of Corbin, Josh D. Smith of Lily, Travis M. Smith and wife, Savannah, of Corbin, Korina Campbell and husband, Mark, of Rowdy, and Haylee Clark and husband, Jerry, of Girdler; three sisters, Melony Gray of Himyar, Rhonda Broughton and husband, Tim, of Artemus and Janice Smith and husband, Gary, of Stinking Creek; a brother, Larry Roger Smith Jr. of Himyar; 12 grandchildren, Madison, Carson, Kendell, Spencer, Jagger and Aspin Smith, AnnaBeth and Colton Merida, Owen Campbell, Krista-Jo, Landon and Kinley Clark; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted at the Piney Grove Baptist Church, 996 Standard Avenue, Corbin, KY 40701, Monday, August 23 at 6:30 P.M. with Rev. Brian Smith and Rev. Lonnie Broyles officiating.
Friends may call at the church Sunday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Monday after 4:30 P.M. until the funeral hour.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.
