Mrs. Sally Ann Donaldson, 65, of Middlesboro, formerly of Barbourville, the widow of John Donaldson Jr., passed away Saturday morning, October 8, 2022 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Arvilee and Cassie Jones Fuson born on January 22, 1957 in Bell County.
Sally was a homemaker and a member of the Piney Chapel Baptist Church. She enjoyed watching television and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her dog, Fancy.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sharon “Deanie” Mills and Norma J. Smith and two brothers, Freddie Jones and Pety Fuson.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Deana “Kay” Simpson of Pineville; three sisters, Shirley Kirklin and Vicky Reeder both of Pineville and Alice McCreary of Middlesboro; two treasured grandchildren, Courtney Nelson and husband, Tyler, and Jonathan Simpson and fiancé, Megan; a great grandchild, Leighlin Nelson, expected to arrive soon; a special cousin, Bill Jones; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, October 11 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Herman Mills officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Fuson Family Cemetery at Ingram in Bell County.
Casket bearers will be Tyler Nelson, Dalton Mason, Noah Mason, Jonathan Simpson, Kevin Caldwell, William Reeder and Jason Jones.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
