Mrs. Rosemary Broughton, 82, of Barbourville, passed away Friday morning, October 16, 2020 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Herman C. and Catherine C. Dietrich Miller born on September 21, 1938 in Detroit, MI.
Rosemary was a former dispatcher with Sears Service Department and a devoted member of the St. Gregory Catholic Church. After moving here from Michigan, she was a manager with KFC. She enjoyed tending flowers and plants, which were in every room of her home, and serving in her church.
On October 13, 1956, she united in marriage with Johnnie M. Broughton and to this union three children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Broughton; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana Marie and David Cseresznye and a sister, Marie Pipoly.
Survivors include her beloved children, John David Broughton and wife, Yolanda, of Los Angeles, CA and Catherine Marie Crawford of Romulus, MI; eight grandchildren, Kevin Anthony Manners, Jennifer Lynn Broughton, Versie Marie Shupp, Dr. Johnathon Justice, Nicholas Joseph Cseresznye, Matthew David Cseresznye, Rosemary Louise Broughton and Diana Catherine Broughton; ten great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and one expected soon; a special friend, David Hopper; among other loved ones and dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at St. Gregory Catholic Church Wednesday, October 21 at 11 A.M. with Father Mani George and Father Anthony Muthu officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Payne Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday between 6 and 8 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7 P.M.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org/donate in her memory.
