Obituary for Rose Marie Woolum Dalton (1965-2021)

Rose Marie Woolum Dalton, age 66 of Barbourville was born in Knox County, KY on June 24, 1965 to the late Henry Carl and Mary Francis Brown Woolum and departed this life on August 18, 2021 at her home.  She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and enjoyed playing cards, fishing, quilting and sewing, cooking out, and time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, her husband: Coy Dalton; 4 brothers: Johnny Woolum, Jimmy Woolum, Charlie Woolum, and Wayne Woolum; 5 sisters: Ina Brown, Mary Ann Baker, Maggie Hensley, Jackie Hampton, and Wanda Woolum; and 3 precious pets that were like her babies: Polly, Jody, and Sugar preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving children: Kenneth Leddington and wife Gladys of Girdler, and Nancy Marie Fryer of Corbin; 6 brothers: Michael Woolum and wife Teresa of Bimble, Teddy Woolum and wife Lovella of Hinkle, Allen Woolum and wife Thelma of Richmond, Lee Beach of Murry City, Don Woolum and wife Mary Ann of Girdler, and Dale Woolum of PA; 3 sisters: Peggy Stewart of Booneheight, Charlotte Smith and husband Finley of Stinking Creek, and Jannett Welch of Fordsville, KY; 4 grandchildren: Chandra Tuttle, Brenda Collins, Kenneth Hooker, and Steven Leddington; 7 great grandchildren: and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral Servies for Mrs. Rose Dalton will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Josh Carnes and Rev. Daniel Alsip officiating.  Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery with Carl Hooker, Michael Hooker, Kenneth Woolum, Daryll Gray, Tommy Hooker serving as Pallbearers.

Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home Sunday Evening from 6 to 9 P.M., and Monday from 10:00 A.M. to the funeral hour at 1.
