Mrs. Rosa Lee Stewart, 81, of Crane’s Nest, passed away Tuesday evening, May 3, 2022 at the home of her daughter. She was the daughter of the late Ned and Addie Goodin Gibson born on March 20, 1941 in Bell County.
Rosa was a homemaker and a member of the Blackwater Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and being at home.
On November 3, 1960, she united in marriage with Earl D. Stewart and to this union two children were born.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her husband, Earl; a son and daughter-in-law Dwight and Tammy Stewart and a son-in-law, Kelly Chestnut.
Survivors include her loving daughter, Teresa Chestnut of London; three sisters, Caffie Golden and husband, Thomas, and Dessie Centers all of Bell County and Ann Myers and husband, Ewell, of LaFollette, TN; a brother, Clyde Gibson and wife, Dianne, of Trenton, OH; five treasured grandchildren, Brandon Collins and wife, Tiffany, Destiny Sizemore and husband, Shain, Justin Stewart and wife, Christina, Derek Stewart and wife, Kayla, and Josh Stewart; eight great grandchildren; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, May 7 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Brandon Collins, Justin Stewart, Derek Stewart, Josh Stewart, Shain Sizemore and Ronnie Sproles.
Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
