Mr. Ronnie Garrison, 74, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday evening, February 28, 2024 at Baptist Health Lexington. He was the son of the late Charles and Lucy Paul Garrison born on April 2, 1949 at Swan Lake.
Ronnie was a retired Detroit police officer, truck driver and believed in the Baptist faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and playing the mandolin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Garrison Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathy Helton Garrison of Corbin; four children, Scot Garrison of Detroit, MI, Patrick Garrison and wife, Joy, of Bay City, MI, Matt Garrison and wife, Jennifer, of Sergeant Bluff, IA and Jonathan Garrison of Corbin; a sister, Linda Ireland of Detroit, MI; a brother, Dennis Garrison of Detroit, MI; seven treasured grandchildren, McKenzie, Madison, Samantha, Joseph, Selena, Jayden and Kayden; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, March 5 at 2 P.M. He will be laid to rest in the Campbell Cemetery at Indian Creek.
Casket bearers will be family and friends. Serving as an honorary bearer will be Mike Worley.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
