Mr. Roger Forest Hughes, age 63 of Parkers Lake, KY formerly of Knox County, was born in Barbourville, KY on February 7, 1956 to the late Chester and Agnes Allen Hughes and departed this life on December 29, 2019 in the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church and enjoyed collecting Porcelain Eagles, Law Enforcement, Police Cars, and time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, a brother: Willard Hughes preceded him in death.
Roger is survived by his loving daughters: Patricia Jean Smith and husband Donald of Heidrick and Shirina Ruthkay Hughes of Chesney, SC; a brother: Dee Hughes and wife Glenna of London; 3 sisters: Elizabeth Trent and husband Curtis of Girdler, Barbara Ann Hughes and Virginia Kay Blevins and husband Don all of Barbourville; a special nephew: Terry Bullock and wife Carrie of Barbourville; 4 grandchildren: Austin Smith, Travis Smith, Daimion Cruze Burnett, and Devon Thomas Burnett; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Roger Hughes will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Tommy Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Blevins Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
