Mr. Ricky Frederick, 66, of Artemus, passed away Wednesday morning, March 3, 2020 at the Barbourville ARH Hospital. He was the son of the late Glenn and Alice Roark Frederick born on December 17, 1955 at Trosper.
Ricky was a former bus driver and mechanic with the Knox County Public School System and of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren who he dearly loved.
On July 3, 1976, he united in marriage with Elizabeth Fuston and to this union three children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sheryl Bailey; a brother, Ed Bailey and his parents-in-law, Charley and Wanda Davis Fuston.
Survivors include his loving wife of over 45 years, Elizabeth Frederick of Artemus; three sons, Ricky Frederick and wife, Lynn, of London, Matthew Frederick and Andy Frederick and wife, Jessica, all of Artemus; brothers, Timothy Bailey of Goodells, MI, Darryl, Richard and David Frederick all of Turkey Creek; treasured grandchildren, Dalton, Easton, Kyler, Lillian and Ariana Frederick and Haven Couch and husband, Matthew; two great grandchildren, Aubrey and Hunter Couch; a special family member, Caitlyn Mills; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Monday, March 7 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Keith “Buster” Liford officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Powers Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Zach Bunch, Jhon Bunch, Chris Osborne, Junior Messer, William Messer and Waylon Messer.
Friends may call at the funeral home Monday after 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
The family requests that all visitors wear a facial covering and practice social distancing during the visitation and funeral service.
