Richard was the son of Homer L. and Mary Foley Carroll. His parents and his sister, Charlotte Baty, preceded him in death.
Richard is survived by his loving wife, Connie Sue, a son, Richard L. Richard retired as an electrician from TruSeal when he was 58 years old, due to a severe shoulder injury which left him unable to perform electrician duties. He loved to play golf until his injury left it difficult for him to play. Later on, he loved taking care of his flowers, keeping up with every sport and hunting event his grandsons participated in with regular Facetimes and phone calls. He enjoyed hearing his self-given name Fat Daddy, spoken by those near and dear to him.
An immediate private family graveside service will be conducted in the Barbourville Cemetery once Richard’s remains are released from the Gulf Coast Crematory.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to The Ronald McDonald House or St. Jude Hospital, in loving memory of Richard.
