Mr. Richard Douglas Fisher, 58, of Brownstown, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, June 18, 2024. Richard was born May 4, 1966 in Farmington Hills, MI to Joe and Cleda Smith Fisher.
Richard was a line technician with Comcast and a member of the Woodhaven Free Will Baptist Church in Woodhaven, MI. He loved music, cars, four-wheelers and electronics. Richard was a proud father and loved his family and friends with all of his heart.
He united in marriage with the love of his life, Kimberly Hawley, and to this union a son was born.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl and Belle Fisher and Ruby and R. J. Smith; uncles, Morris Fisher, Randall Fisher, Russell Fisher and Marvin Smith; aunts, Shirley Campbell, Geneva Hinkle and Joyce Overbay; cousins, Rhonda Baragiolas, James Earl Fisher, Randy Fisher and Patrick Fisher and a niece, Holly Ann Pondell.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 32 years, Kimberly Fisher; his son, Chad Fisher and fiancé, Hope Stanaway; parents, Joe and Cleda Fisher; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Gary and Margaret Hawley; sister and brother-in-law, Beth and Duane Pondell and nephews, Ryan Pondell, Gary Pondell and Jared Pondell. He is also survived by an aunt, Vickie Dickinson and husband, Mike; uncles, Marvin Fisher and wife, Colene, Ken Smith and wife, Linda, and Ron Smith and wife, Marianne; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, June 25 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Gary Hawley officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Fisher Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour
