Mr. Richard A. Broughton, 62, of Barbourville, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 3, 2023 at his home. He was the son of the late William and Betty Bargo Broughton born on July 28, 1961 in Detroit, MI.
Richard was former employee of Jackson Warewashing Systems and of the Baptist faith. In earlier years, he was an employee of Harry’s Union 76 and Farmer’s Market. He enjoyed riding his razor and spending time with his grandchildren.
On January 2, 1980, he united in marriage with Connie Walker, who preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Daniel Broughton.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Tracy Carter and husband, Aaron; brothers, Steven Broughton and fiancé, Robin Shirley, James Broughton and wife, Kay, Doug Broughton and wife, Louise, and William Broughton and wife, Patricia; treasured grandchildren, Emma and Sawyer Carter; among other loved ones and dear friends.
At this time, no services are planned.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
