Rev. Ova Grubb age 76 of Gray, Kentucky departed this life on Saturday, January 1, 2022 in the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. He was the husband of Evelyn Grubb and the son of Whitley and Lillie Grubb born to them on December 31, 1945 in Manchester, Kentucky.
He was a minister and had preached for about fifty-five years. He was a man of God and his faith was very important to him. He also had radio programs on WANO Radio in Pineville and WTBK in Manchester where he shared the word of God to his listeners.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Whitley and Lillie Grubb, two brothers and two sisters.
Left behind to mourn his passing his loving wife Evelyn of 56 years, five children, Dottie Smith of Gray, Pamela Ballard and husband Tom of Bardstown, Cindy Kaye Mills and husband Joel David of London, Deborah Ova Mills of Gray and Deanna Howard of Gray, nine grandchildren, Joshua Ballard (Leandra), Rebecca Mudd (Nick), Sarah Carnes (Justin), Jacob Ballard (Hailey), Hunter West, Chelsie Mills(James), Katie Ballard, Joseph Mills(Madison), and Isabella Mills, nine great grandchildren, five brothers and two sisters. He also leaves behind a host of many other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Rev. Ova Grubb will be conducted on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Mitchell and Rev. Michael Paul officiating. Pallbearers will be Joseph Mills, Hunter West, David Mills, Tom Ballard and Justin Carnes. He will be laid to rest in the Grubb Cemetery at Acorn Fork. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 11:00 a.m.
