Obituary for Raymond Turner Scalf (1938-2021)

Raymond Turner Scalf was born on August 18, 1938, in Knox County, Kentucky, the son of the late Soloman and Elizabeth Pierce Scalf. 

He was united in marriage to Betty Keller Scalf, who preceded him in death.  He is survived by two children, Leisa McFarland and Sam Scalf and wife, Pat, all of London, three grandchildren, Amanda Fletcher and husband, Cecil, Perry Root and wife, Dichelle, and Carrie Lowery and husband, Shaquille, two step-grandchildren, Josh Stewart and Cassandra Jackson, eight great-grandchildren, Mason, Grayson and Paisley Root, Weston, Kyler and Karson Lowery and Jacob Ryan Lee and Hunter Ray Jackson, plus a host of other friends and relatives to mourn his passing. In addition to his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by three children, Larry, Billy and Mary Frances and by eleven siblings, Frank, Dewey, Amos, David, Audrey, Reta, Margaret, Tootsie, Mabel, Florence and Virgie.

Raymond was a construction worker, truck driver, a Christian and member of West London Baptist Church.

Raymond Turner Scalf departed this life at Jackson Manor Nursing Home on Monday January 4, 2021, being 82 years, 4 months and 17 days of age.

Funeral services for Raymond Turner Scalf will be conducted at 11 AM Thursday in the Bowling Funeral Home with Steven Baker officiating.  Burial will follow in the West London Cemetery in London.

The family of Raymond Turner Scalf will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home after 6 PM Wednesday.
