Raymond Johnson, age 81, of Bryants Store, Kentucky departed this life on Friday, April 29, 2022 at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Raymond was born on November 15, 1940 in London, Kentucky to Ben Johnson and Ethel Marie Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Ethel Marie Johnson; and one brother, Gary “Smoke” Johnson.
Raymond was veteran of the U. S. Army and member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
Raymond is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carrnettia (McKiddy) Johnson of Bryants Store, Kentucky; two children, David Charles Johnson (Gloria) of Willis, Texas and Sharon Ann Locker (Hank) of Spring, Texas; five grandchildren, Ashley Luly, Abigail Johnson, Dillon Johnson, Keith Ross, and Chris Locker; one sister, Bobby Everheart of Camden, Ohio; three brothers, Jimmy Johnson of Kissimmee, Carl Johnson (Eve) of Hamilton, Ohio, and Tony Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, May 2, 2022 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Croley Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Douglas and Rev. Brian Smith officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Croley Addition of Highland Park.
