Mr. Randy Arthur Allen Cox age 39 of Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 in the St. Joseph Hospital in London. He was the son of Ken and Marilyn (Taylor) Henson and was born October 7, 1980 in Clay Co. Kentucky. Randy was a member of the Old Ark House of Prayer for many years and was a faithful servant of God. He loved music, fishing, animals, fireworks and riding his four-wheeler, but he especially loved his children; they were his whole world. He could play the piano beautifully and could play almost any other instrument he picked up.
He is preceded in death by three children, his parents, Ken and Marilyn Henson and two brothers, James Cox and Conley Royce Cox.
Left behind to mourn his passing, his five children, Tyler Cox and wife Shada, Joseph Cox, Sean Cox, Randy Cox, Jr. and Ethan Cox all of Barbourville, three brothers, Tip Smith and wife Brittany of Williamsburg and Jimmy Smith and Denver Cox both of Barbourville, four sisters, Sarah Vaughn and husband Jerry of Artemus, Penny Shown and husband Rodford of Alabama, April Smith of Ohio and Tammy Cox of Stinking Creek.
Funeral Services for Mr. Cox will be conducted on Friday, February 7, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charles Eversole officiating. Pallbearers will be family and friends. He will be laid to rest in the Hammons Cemetery at Flat Lick. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.
Friends will be received at the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
