Mr. Randall Brown, 76, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday morning, January 2, 2025 at Baptist Health Corbin. He was the son of the late Lewis and Disa Bingham Brown born July 2, 1948 at Scalf.
Randall was a skilled carpenter who previously worked at Treadway Brothers and was of the Baptist Faith. Outside of work, he enjoyed a variety of hobbies, including trading knives and guns, fishing and raising pigeons. He also loved spending time outdoors riding his four-wheeler and relaxing by watching westerns. Randall faithfully served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Army Commendation Medal.
On February 6, 1971 he united in marriage with Imogene Smith and to this union two children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford, Raymond, Ricky and Lewis Brown Jr. and sisters, Bernice Wheeler, Helen Grubb and Brenda Sue Brown.
Survivors include his loving children, Marsha Robinson and husband, Doug, of London and Mackie Brown of Barbourville; sisters, Marjorie Boggs of Heidrick and Shiree Young of Barbourville; brother, Willard Brown and wife, Ruth, of Piqua, OH, Rodney Brown and wife, Darla, of Woodbine and Timmy Brown and wife, Lisa, of Bowling Green; cherished grandchildren, Olivia and Morgan Robinson; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Wednesday, January 8 at 2 P.M. with Rev. James McDonald officiating.
Serving as casket bearers will be his family and friends.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
The family has requested that contributions go to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to Shriners Hospitals for Children in Randall’s memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
