Raleigh Wilson, age 91, of Goldens Creek, Barbourville, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Baptist Health in Corbin, Kentucky. Raleigh was born on December 31, 1930 on Goldens Creek in Knox County, Kentucky to the late Jim and Rose (Reynolds) Wilson. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Brooks, Ruth Mays and Arlone Davis; and a brother, H.C. Wilson.
Raleigh is survived by three children, Sharon Rains of Williamsburg, Tom Wilson (Valerie) of Corbin and Karen Hamblin (AL Lynn) of Nokomis, Florida; four grandchildren, Eric Rains (Pam), Cynthia Hamblin (TJ), Elaine Cruz (Adrian) and Laura Sunday; seven great-grandchildren, Dustin Feltner, Eric Rains Jr., Kendrick Disney, Elsie Hamblin, Alicia Perez, Isaiah Perez and Raegan Sunday; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at Croley Funeral Home.
The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Terry (TJ) Hamblin officiating. Following the Funeral Service he will be laid to rest in the Wilson Cemetery on Goldens Creek.
