Phyllis Carol Shelton, age 79 of Barbourville was born in Knox co on March 12, 1942 to the late Dewey and Chelsie Robinson Parker and departed this life on January 16, 2022 at Cannon, KY. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed, Gardening, caring for elderly people and time with family and friends especially the grand kids.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Her husband: Meredith Ray Shelton; a grandchild: Kayla Renae Shelton; 2 greatgrandchildern: Eli Nelson Smith and Paisley Jade Canada; and a half sister: Jessie Smith; and 5 infant brothers.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children: Douglas Ray Shelton of Knox County, Gerald Shelton and wife Patty of Corbin, KY, Danny Shelton of Keavy, Ky, Tim Shelton of Knox co, A Daughter: Carol Anders and husband Al of Keavy, KY; a Brother: Judis Parker and wife Sandy of Knox County; 3- Sisters: Letha Johnson and husband Chuck of Barbourville, Patty Smith of Knox County, and Zoe Ann Nies and husband Michael of Corbin; 19 grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren; other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services for Mrs. Phyllis Shelton will be conducted in the Barbourville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM wit the Rev. Sam Moore officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers, Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
Friends may call at the Barbourville Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour at 2:00PM.
