Obituary for Perry Eli Longsworth (1958-2024)

Mr. Perry Eli Longsworth, 66, of Cannon, passed away Monday afternoon, October 21, 2024 at his home.  He was born August 10, 1958 in Knox County to the late Jimmy and Mary Mills Longsworth.

Perry was a former sawmill employee and a member of the Rivers of Living Water Pentecostal Church where he loved to attend.  He enjoyed shooting guns and watching his favorite television shows, Wheel of Fortune, American Pickers, The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal.  Perry most enjoyed spending time with his grandbabies.

On January 7, 1984, he united in marriage with Patricia Ann Brown.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Perry and Cora Mills and Eli and Mary Longsworth and sisters, Betty Jordan and Cora Johnson.

Survivors include his loving wife, Patricia Longsworth of Cannon; children, Perry Anthony Longsworth and wife, Sandra, of Corbin, Viola Marie Miller and husband, Roman, of Barbourville, Kimberly Faith Longsworth of Barbourville and his niece that he loved and raised as his own, Rebecca Lynn Lowery of Barbourville; sisters, Carolyn Brown and husband, Jerry, and Virgie Gray and husband, Eugene; brothers, Roy Longsworth, Virgil Longsworth and Edward Junior Longsworth and wife, Sandy; treasured grandchildren, Alexis and Brayden Longsworth, Donavon Branstutter, Arianna Miller and Aidan and Arabella Clark; among other loved ones and dear friends.

His funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Saturday, October 26 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Wayne Holder and Rev. Randy Clark officiating.  He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Junior Longsworth, Roy Longsworth, Virgil Longsworth, Roman Miller, Christian Brown and Billy Castle.

Friends may visit at the funeral home Friday, October 25 between 6 and 8 P.M. and Saturday prior to the funeral hour.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
