Barbourville, Ky. – Patricia Rowena Robinson, 59, affectionately known as Rowena, passed away November 29, 2022. Rowena was the daughter of Aaron Keith Baker and Altia Mills Baker joyfully born to them on March 30, 1963, in Barbourville, Kentucky.
Rowena will be remembered for her kindness and love of family and friends. She was a Christian of the Baptist Faith, attending Callihan Missionary Baptist Church for many years. Rowena enjoyed working. She was a Walmart Associate for 16 years and, when home, she often worked in her yard, landscaping, and flower gardening. Rowena grew and cared for over 100 rose bushes. In her spare time, she loved shopping and buying gifts for others. Rowena often started Christmas shopping in January and always made sure to get gifts for the children in her church. Christmas was her favorite time of year. Most important to Rowena, though, was her family, especially her granddaughter Elie-Ann who brought her endless joy. Rowena was the glue that held the family together. Her family is grateful for treasured memories of time shared that will forever comfort them.
Rowena was preceded in death by her father Aaron Keith Baker, nephew Kevin Keith Bailey, who was like a son to her, and brother Darrell Baker. Left behind to mourn her passing is Rowena’s husband Clifford “Buck” Robinson, mother Alti Mills Baker, daughter Rebecca Lynn Doolin and son-in-law Gary Wayne Doolin II, brother David Baker and sister Janice Lay. Cherished granddaughter Ellie-Ann Dawn Doolin also survives Rowena and will miss her dearly.
Services for Rowena will be held at Hopper Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday, December 5, 2022, from, 12:00 PM until the funeral hour of 2:00 PM. Reverend Mike Fuson will officiate assisted by Reverend Billy Argiropoulos. Musical tributes to be performed by John Robert Robinson. Interment will follow the funeral service in the Barbourville Cemetery. Casket Bearers are beloved nephews. Honorary Casket Bearers are friends and associates of Barbourville Walmart, dedicated members of Knox County EMS, and Barbourville ARH Hospital and Saint Joseph Hospital London caring staff members.
