Ms. Patricia Linda Sprinkles, 67, of Lily, passed away Wednesday morning, January 8, 2025 at her home. She was born July 13, 1957 in Bell County, the daughter of the late Clint Merida Sr. and Axie Allen Merida.
Linda was a retired employee from CTA and a member of the Walker Baptist Church where she served the Lord. She loved flowers, quilting and spending time out of doors. Linda also loved time spent at Kids Being Kids Daycare, where she was lovingly known as “Sissy Linda”.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theo Vaughn Jr.; sister, Sharon; brothers, Clint Jr., Lonnie, Teddy and Doyle; special friend, David McVey and several nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her loving children, Christopher Sprinkles and wife, Amanda, of Mt. Vernon and Adam Sprinkles and wife, Amanda, of Lily; sisters, Brenda Davis of Panama City Beach, FL and Loretta Bargo and husband, Tim, of Heidrick; brothers, Rev. Kenneth Merida and wife, Carol, of Bimble, Shelby Merida of Lily, Jeff Merida and Randy Merida both of Road Fork; cherished grandchildren, Austin Sprinkles and wife, Sabrina, Adison, Angel, Kayari, Shyanna, Chrislynn and Christopher Sprinkles; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Carpenter and Baby Sprinkles due to arrive in July; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Thursday, January 16 at 1 P.M. with Rev. Ken Merida, Rev. Anthony Mayo and Rev. Mike Collins officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Allen Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be her grandsons and nephews. Honorary bearers will be her church family at the Walker Baptist Church.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Wednesday between 6 and 9 P.M. and Thursday prior to the funeral hour.
Contributions may be given to the Walker Baptist Church Building Fund in her memory.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
