Obituary for Patricia Darlene Hobbs (1956-2022)

 Mrs. Patricia Darlene Hobbs age 65 of Gray, Kentucky departed this life on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at her home. She was born on July 25, 1956 in Bethesda, Maryland and was the daughter of John Hugh Stokely and Effie Mae (Bargo) Stokely.

      Patricia graduated from the University of Kentucky. She was a respiratory therapist supervisor at Rockcastle Regional Hospital before retiring and had also worked for the Knox County Ambulance Service.

      She enjoyed spending time with her family and she loved good food, animals, music and traveling, going to the beach was her favorite. She loved to watch Kentucky football and enjoyed watching all the classic TV shows as well.

      She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Effie Stokely, four brothers, Earl Leo Stokely, Calvin Fletcher Stokely, Leslie Wallace Stokely and David Lee Stokely and one sister, Brenda Kay Stokely.

      Left behind to mourn her passing, her two loving sons, Michael Mitchell of Gray, and John Hobbs and wife Tiffany of Barbourville, one brother, John Wayne Stokely and one sister Debra Downey and husband Daryl all of St. Mary’s Georgia, her ex-husband, Gordon Hobbs of Barbourville, her grandchildren, Kaelyn Hobbs of Barbourville, Brenna Winter of Mastic, New York, Johnathon Hobbs, Paisley Hobbs and Lainey Hobbs all of Barbourville, Corey Mitchell of Lexington, Gabriel Mitchell and wife Deanna and Joshua Mitchell and a great grandchild, Athena Mitchell all of Titusville, Florida. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins to mourn her passing.

      Funeral services for Mrs. Hobbs will be conducted in the Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in the Bargo Family on Walker Park Road. Cobb-Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
