Ms. Neddra J. Parrott, 87, of Barbourville, passed away Thursday morning, January 23, 2025 at her home. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Geneva Croley Parrott born on December 6, 1937 in Barbourville.
Neddra was a retired special education teacher from Lay Elementary School and a devoted member of the Wayman Chapel AME Church, where she served as a Sunday schoolteacher, financial secretary and steward. She was also a member of Women of Vision, the Red Hat Society and WMS. Neddra also enjoyed shopping on QVC, Avon and reading.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an uncle, William A. Croley.
Survivors include her goddaughter, Michelle Cole of Los Angeles, CA; very special friend, Debbie Asher and husband, Curtis, of Barbourville; caregiver, Jelma Croley of Barbourville; a host of cousins she dearly loved; among other loved ones and dear friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Tuesday, January 28 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Louise Spencer and Rev. Jeff Washington officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Rosenwald Cemetery.
Friends may visit at the funeral home Tuesday after 12 Noon until the funeral hour.
The family suggests contributions go to the Wayman Chapel AME Church, P. O. Box 1716, Barbourville, KY 40906 in her memory.
